The Colorado State Patrol has released new information regarding the fatal car crash that occurred in Grand Junction, which killed one and injured five. The car involved in the accident was stolen and all minors inside were from Fruita.
Investigators have stated that "the car went down a dead end before going airborne and crashing into an embankment." No further details have been released at this time.
This update comes after CSP confirmed earlier today that there was one fatality along with five others being transported to the hospital with some having serious bodily injury. All parties involved in the vehicle were under 18 years old.
The accident happened around 12:30AM near K Road in Grand Junction as the vehicle drove off a cliff at an excessive rate of speed. The Colorado State Patrol and Lower Valley Fire Department responded to the scene immediately.
