1 Dead, Several Injured in Contra Costa County Crash

At least one person was killed and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Contra Costa County, according to fire officials. The incident took place on Vasco Road, south of Camino Diablo involving three cars.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District reported the accident via social media at around 2:31 p.m. Initially, it was believed that ten people had been injured but later reports confirmed that only three others were hurt.
Fire officials who arrived at the scene confirmed that one person died while three other victims sustained injuries. The road was closed down in both directions causing traffic delays as investigators worked to clear up the wreckage which was strewn across the roadway.
As of now, no cause has been determined for this tragic accident. Our thoughts are with those affected by this terrible event and their families during this difficult time.
