Man killed in Melrose Park crash

A fatal crash occurred on Friday afternoon in the west suburbs of Chicago, leaving one man dead and another injured. The incident took place at the intersection of Mannheim Road and Lake Street, which is located on the border of Melrose Park and Stone Park.
According to the police, a car crashed into the back of a UPS semi-truck, resulting in the death of the car's 66-year-old driver. The passenger, a 64-year-old man, was injured and is currently hospitalized. The identities of the victims have not been released.
Chopper 7HD captured footage of the scene, which showed the damaged car and the semi-truck. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and the police have not provided any further information at this time.
This incident comes just days after another fatal crash in Chicago, where a man was killed in a hit-and-run on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Lakeview. The police are urging drivers to exercise caution and follow traffic laws to prevent such tragedies from occurring.
