One Person Killed in Three-Vehicle Collision in Chester County

A fatal accident occurred on Friday evening, resulting in the death of one person. The incident took place on Highway 72 near the City of Chester around 5:40 p.m. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP), three vehicles were involved in the crash - a Chevrolet sedan, a Toyota Scion, and a Toyota sedan.

Troopers reported that "the Chevrolet hit the rear of the Scion before it crossed the center line and hit the Toyota sedan head-on." The Chevrolet and Toyota sedan were traveling south on Highway 72 while the Scion was stopped in northbound traffic.

The driver of the Scion suffered minor injuries and received treatment for them. Unfortunately, nobody could save the life of the driver of Toyota Sedan who died as a result of this collision. Officials have not yet publicly identified this victim.

No one from inside Chevy got injured during this unfortunate event. Troopers did not mention if anyone would face charges stemming from this incident or not; however, SCHP is investigating further into what happened.
