10 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash in Lake County, Ohio

All ten people involved in the accident were taken to Tri-Point Medical Center
A car crash in Lake County, Ohio sent 10 people to the hospital early Tuesday morning. The incident occurred when a passenger van attempted to make a U-turn on SR 44.
According to authorities, Lake County Sheriff's Deputies and Concord Township Fire Department responded to the accident south of the SR 84 exit at around 2 a.m. The passenger van involved was identified as a 2009 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 carrying nine individuals and traveling northbound on SR 44.
As the van tried to execute the U-turn maneuver, a 2015 Honda CRV traveling behind it collided with the driver's side of the van. All ten individuals involved in the crash were subsequently transported to Tri-Point Medical Center for medical attention.
Of those injured, two passengers from the van required air transportation via Metro Life Flight and University Hospitals Air Med. Fortunately, there was only one person inside the Honda CRV at the time of impact - its driver.
Further details regarding their conditions or any potential charges related to this incident have not been disclosed at this time. Authorities are likely conducting an investigation into what led up to this collision on SR 44 early Tuesday morning.
