11 Hospitalized and 1 Arrested in Meriden Three Car Crash Involving William Herschler

According to police, a three-car crash occurred in Meriden on Saturday afternoon, resulting in one arrest and 11 hospitalizations. The accident took place at the intersection of Windsor Ave and West Main St. at around 4:13 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities found all three vehicles involved had been disabled by damage and that there were 11 people with injuries. Initial investigations suggest that a stolen 2003 Honda Accord crossed the intersection of West Main St., hitting a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt before continuing onto Windsor Ave where it collided with a third vehicle, a 2013 Nissan Altima.
The Altima held five passengers who were injured while four injured parties were present in the Cobalt and two in the Accord. All those involved have been sent to local hospitals for treatment.
During their investigation into aiding the injured individuals, police discovered that William Herschler of Meriden was driving the stolen Honda Accord when it crashed. Herschler has since been arrested and charged with motor vehicle theft; he is currently being held by police as an ongoing investigation continues.
