12-Year-Old Child Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash in Youngstown

One fatality, three injuries
On Friday, November 17th, a tragic two-vehicle crash occurred on the North Side of Youngstown, Ohio, resulting in the death of a 12-year-old child and injuring three other individuals. The collision took place at the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Juanita Avenue.
According to Lt. Robert Gentile from the police department's traffic unit, a car traveling west on Alameda Avenue collided with an SUV that was heading north on Juanita Avenue. The impact was severe enough to temporarily close down the intersection while officers investigated the scene.
The car involved in the accident had three occupants, while there was only one person inside the SUV. All four individuals were transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center for medical treatment. Tragically, one of them - a young passenger in the car - succumbed to their injuries.
Lt. Gentile stated that speed played a significant role in causing this devastating crash.
