14-Year-Old Dies in One-Vehicle Accident near Fort Pierre

A 14-year-old has died in a one-vehicle accident near Fort Pierre on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in an off-road vehicle area just south of the Oahe Dam, off Highway 1806.
The victim was identified as being in a Jeep when the accident happened and was transported by AMR Ambulance Service to Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, where he succumbed to his injuries.
As of now, no further information has been released regarding this tragic event or the identity of the victim.
