three others hurt, 15-year-old boy dead
A 15-year-old boy has died in a single-car crash that occurred on Thursday night in Glendale, leaving three others injured. The driver of the car did not have a license, according to police reports. The accident took place around 7 p.m. near the intersection of 53rd and Grand Avenues when a blue Infiniti G35 was heading northwest on Grand Avenue and another car turned from southwest Grand onto 53rd Avenue.
The unlicensed driver was reportedly driving faster than the posted speed limit and attempted to avoid the other vehicle but lost control of the car, hitting a curb before rolling over and ejecting three out of four people inside. The ejected individuals included two girls aged sixteen years old each and one seventeen-year-old boy who were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Unfortunately, one fifteen-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene by officers.
It is reported that the unlicensed driver showed no signs of impairment. All four teenagers involved in this tragic incident are from Glendale; however, their identities have not been released yet.
