16-Year-Old Boy from Darien Killed in Crash with Semi-Truck in Town of Bradford

A 16-year-old boy from Darien lost his life in a tragic accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon. The incident took place at the entrance of Carver-Roehl County Park located in the Town of Bradford, Wisconsin.

According to reports from the Rock County Sheriff's Department, the teenager was riding a dirt bike when he collided with a semi-truck pulling a flatbed trailer. The truck was being driven by a 74-year-old man from Janesville and was passing by the park's entrance at around 2:30 p.m.

The semi-truck was heading northbound on South Carvers Rock Road when the young boy struck its passenger side while exiting the park. Despite efforts made by Fire and EMS responders from Clinton and Beloit to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released any information regarding his identity but stated that it may be disclosed later by Rock Co. Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing with assistance provided by both Rock County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team and Wisconsin State Patrol.
