16-Year-Old Killed in Car Accident in Rocky Mount

On Monday, a tragic car accident in Rocky Mount, North Carolina claimed the life of a 16-year-old. According to the Rocky Mount Police Department, the incident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Thomas A Betts Parkway and Goldrock Road.
Upon receiving the report, officers rushed to the scene where they discovered that the teen driver had collided with a utility pole. Sadly, despite their efforts, emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The victim was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
As of Tuesday afternoon at 2:40 p.m., Rocky Mount's Traffic Enforcement Crash Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this devastating incident.
