16-Year-Old Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School Student Killed in Palmer Car Crash

The town of Palmer, Massachusetts is grieving the loss of a 16-year-old student from Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School after a deadly car crash on Tuesday afternoon. The victim has not yet been identified by authorities.

According to reports, the accident occurred as students were leaving school at the end of the day and a tractor-trailer struck the driver's side of the teen's car. The incident resulted in fatal injuries for the young student.

In response to this tragedy, students from Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School placed flowers on their school's sign as they mourned their classmate's passing. Superintendent Eric Duda stated that counselors have been made available to help students cope with their loss.

"I'm very thankful today for the outpouring of support from other school districts, from state and local networks that helped support our students and staff today and continue to do so," said Duda.

Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating this tragic event alongside representatives from Hampden District Attorney’s Office.

In a statement released by Palmer Police Department regarding this case: “The operator of the tractor trailer unit was not injured and is cooperating with investigators. The investigation is ongoing.”

Members within Palmer community also expressed their condolences over this heartbreaking loss.
