The police department received an injured persons report around 10 a.m. Upon arrival at the scene, they found the teen trapped between the equipment. The victim was identified as an employee of the landfill and was rushed to a nearby trauma center for medical attention but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The landfill where the accident took place is owned by a third-party private company that employed the teenager. The authorities have classified this incident as a "private property fatal motor vehicle accident." As such, it will be investigated by the department's traffic unit.
