Daijah McKithen Killed in Lawrenceville Crash Involving Dump Truck and Sedan

An 18-year-old from Lawrenceville lost her life on Thursday afternoon after a crash involving a dump truck and sedan, according to the Lawrence Police. The victim was identified as Daijah McKithen.
The accident occurred around 12:17 p.m. at the intersection of Brunswick Pike (Route 1) and Franklin Corner Road when the two vehicles collided. Sadly, McKithen succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck, Suleyman Durdu, aged 28 from Bordentown sustained moderate non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
Lawrence Police have not released any further information about what led up to this tragic event but confirmed that they are currently investigating all details surrounding it.
Assistance was provided by several organizations including; The Lawrence Township Fire Department & Emergency Medical Services, Capital Health System Advanced Life Support, and Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
