18-Year-Old Woman Dies in Crash Involving Semi-Truck in Kings County

An 18-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a collision involving a semi-truck in Kings County, California. The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 43 and Pickerell Avenue in Corcoran on Monday morning at approximately 6:15 am.
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, a witness stated that the young woman ran a stop sign just before the crash took place. As a result, she collided with the approaching semi-truck. In an attempt to avoid the collision, the driver of the semi-truck swerved but was unable to prevent impact.
Following the collision, both vehicles veered off onto the shoulder of the road. Tragically, emergency responders declared the young woman dead at the scene. At this time, authorities have not released her identity pending notification of next-of-kin.
