19-Year-Old Jake Snell Killed in Crash on State Highway 33 in Drumright, Oklahoma

In a devastating incident on State Highway 33, a young man lost his life after a collision, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The accident occurred near 417th W Ave at approximately 7 a.m. on Thursday.
The victim has been identified as Jake Snell, aged 19. Snell was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram heading westbound on OK-33 when, for reasons yet unknown, he veered across the centerline and crashed into an eastbound 2018 Kenworth Truck.
Following the impact, Snell became trapped inside his vehicle and remained pinned for two-and-a-half hours until emergency responders from Freedom Hill Fire Department were able to extricate him from the wreckage.
While the truck driver sustained injuries in the crash, they were treated and subsequently released from medical care. Unfortunately, Snell did not survive the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
Investigators have determined that Snell was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of this tragic incident. Seatbelts are crucial safety measures that can significantly reduce injuries or even save lives during accidents.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is currently conducting further investigations to determine what caused Snell to cross over into oncoming traffic.
