Michael Jarrett hit by vehicle in New Madison

Jarrett was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in critical condition.
A 19-year-old was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in Darke County. The incident occurred near the 300 block of N. Main Street in New Madison at around 3:40 p.m., according to the Darke County Sheriff's Office.
The victim, identified as Michael Jarrett, was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a Ford-F350 pulling a trailer that was traveling southbound on North Main Street. An initial investigation revealed that Jarrett failed to stop at the posted stop sign before entering the intersection of Fairview Street.
Jarrett sustained critical injuries and had to be flown to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
