19-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Semi-Truck Crash in Seward County

A 19-year-old man was seriously injured in an accident involving a semi tractor-trailer in Seward County on Friday. The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) stated that the incident occurred when the semi failed to yield while traveling eastbound on Seward Co. Road 11 and collided with the teen's Kia Optima, which was driving northbound on Seward Co. Road G.
The collision caused serious injuries to the young driver of the Kia Optima who was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, the driver of the semi escaped unharmed.
The KHP is currently investigating this incident further and has not yet released any additional information regarding potential charges or citations related to this crash.
