Two people were confirmed to have been killed in the crash.

All lanes of northbound Interstate 75 have reopened after a semitrailer overturned and killed two people in Dayton early Thursday morning. The accident occurred around 4 a.m. when the semi-truck lost control and rolled off the highway into an embankment near the entrance ramp of Stanley Avenue, according to Dayton Police Lt. David Matthews.

The highway was shut down at Route 4 as crews work to clear the crash.

The identities of those who died in the accident have not been released yet. There is also structural damage to a sign that Ohio Department of Transportation is evaluating.

Drivers on I-75 northbound are being advised to go to Webster Street or Needmore Road to get back on the highway.

According to initial reports, one person was confirmed dead as first responders extricated victims from inside a semi-truck that rolled over on the on-ramp.

Officers worked quickly to shut down Stanley Avenue and clear debris while firefighters extricated occupants from within the truck which had begun leaking fluid near its rear end following impact with utility poles and power lines across roadways causing AES Ohio response teams' arrival evident through traffic camera footage.
