Police Charge 20-Year-Old Woman with Drunk Driving after Car Accident in Cobb County
A 20-year-old woman has been charged with drunk driving following a car accident that occurred in Cobb County, Georgia. The incident took place at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday when Marietta Police responded to the scene of the accident on Roswell Road at Cobb Parkway.
According to officials, Hannah White from Dallas, Georgia was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer traveling northbound on Cobb Parkway while Sophia Hayes from Mableton was driving a 2023 Tesla 3 traveling westbound on Roswell Road. During the investigation, it was revealed that Hayes had stopped at the traffic signal at Cobb Parkway while White was speeding and trying to make a right turn onto Roswell Road.
As per reports, White has been charged with drunk driving and is currently facing legal consequences for her actions. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
The police have urged drivers to be cautious and responsible while operating their vehicles especially during late hours when accidents are more likely to occur due to reckless behavior or impaired judgment caused by alcohol consumption.
