22-year-old James Gabriel Jackson Jabari dies in Pittsylvania County crash

On May 22, a fatal crash claimed the life of a 22-year-old man in Pittsylvania County. The Virginia State Police are investigating the incident that occurred around 1:10 p.m. on U.S. Highway 29 near Dewberry Road.

According to reports, James Gabriel Jackson Jabari from Haymarket was driving a Ford F-150 south when he ran off the right side of the road and overcorrected, crossing into the median. The vehicle overturned and ejected Jabari.

He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he later passed away due to his injuries sustained during the accident. Investigators have reported that Jabari was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
