23-year-old in critical condition, both vehicles badly damaged
PEOSTA, Iowa - A 23-year-old man from Illinois is in critical condition after a crash in Dubuque County. The incident occurred on April 17 at around 6 p.m. near Highway 151 and Larkin Road.
According to a press release from the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office, the Illinois man was driving northbound on Highway 151, hauling farm equipment, when the 23-year-old rear-ended the farm equipment. The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles, and a John Deere E1000 field finisher that was being hauled was totaled.
The 23-year-old was airlifted to the hospital in Iowa City, where he remains in critical condition. The Illinois man was not injured in the crash.
The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
