24-Year-Old Man Killed After Dodge Durango Crashes into Home in Lakeland

One person killed, others uninjured
A tragic accident occurred in Lakeland, Florida on Monday when a Dodge Durango crashed into an occupied home, killing a 24-year-old man. The incident took place at around 4:12 p.m. on Longfellow Boulevard as the vehicle driven by Alexander Dalton Collins failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with two signposts before crashing into the house.
The Lakeland Police Department, Polk County Fire Rescue and the Lakeland Fire Department arrived at the scene immediately and attempted life-saving measures but were unable to save the victim who was pronounced dead by medical personnel present.
While four people were involved in this unfortunate event - including Collins and his passenger - only one lost their life. The driver of the truck along with his companion did not require any medical treatment nor did two other individuals inside the house.
The intersection remained closed for five hours while authorities processed evidence from the crash site. At this time, no information has been released regarding the identity of the deceased individual.
