Kokomo Crash Kills Kaysie Nickole Talley

One person killed, one seriously injured, two others with minor injuries
A 24-year-old woman was killed in a car accident involving a suspected drunk driver in Kokomo, Indiana on Sunday night. The Kokomo Police Department reported that the two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Washington and Elm streets at around 8:50 p.m.
Travis Sexton, a 22-year-old from Fremont, was driving a Chevy Uplander east on Elm Street when he ignored the stop sign at the intersection and collided with a Chevy Suburban driven by a 28-year-old Kokomo woman who was traveling south on Washington. A passenger in the Suburban was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The victim was identified as 24-year-old Kaysie Nickole Talley of Kokomo. The Suburban’s driver was also seriously injured and was flown to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment. Two other passengers in the Suburban sustained minor injuries and refused treatment.
According to the Kokomo police, Sexton was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. His blood alcohol content (BAC) was reportedly .142, and he is also suspected of using illegal drugs. Sexton was arrested and booked into the Howard County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle while causing death and operating a motor vehicle while causing serious bodily injury.
