A 3-year-old girl, identified as Zora Paschal, was killed in a car crash on Friday afternoon in Georgia. The incident occurred when the female driver of a 2011 Hyundai Elantra failed to notice that traffic had stopped in front of her. In an attempt to avoid a rear-end crash, the driver swerved but ended up heading into oncoming traffic and was hit by a Jeep Cherokee.
The driver of the Elantra survived the crash, but her daughter, who was in a car seat in the backseat, suffered severe head and brain injuries and died instantly, according to deputies. The mother was found at fault for the crash, and authorities said she will likely be facing charges.
