3-Year-Old Josiah Caleb Toleafoa Dies After Being Hit by Car on His Way to Birthday Celebration

Josiah Caleb Toleafoa was pronounced dead at Rady's Children's Hospital in Kearny Mesa, CA.
A 3-year-old boy in California has tragically died after being hit by a car on his way to celebrate his birthday. Josiah Caleb Toleafoa was with his mother, heading to Play City in the San Diego area when he was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot. He was taken to Rady's Children's Hospital but unfortunately could not be saved.
His aunt, Tatiana Toleafoa, shared on GoFundMe: "His mother was taking him to play at the Play City to celebrate his 3rd birthday when he was tragically struck by a car." The family is devastated and struggling with funeral expenses. Two separate GoFundMe campaigns have been set up for Josiah’s family members.
Chula Vista police confirmed that drugs and alcohol did not appear to be involved in this incident and that the driver cooperated with officers at the scene of the accident.
The family is grateful for all of their loved ones who are supporting them during this difficult time as they try their best to cope with such an unexpected tragedy.
