Crash in Baton Rouge Involving Three Vehicles Leaves One Injured

Louisiana State Police have announced that all lanes on the Mississippi River Bridge have reopened following a bizarre incident involving approximately 30 dead pigs. The incident occurred late Tuesday, September 26 and resulted in the closure of two left lanes on I-10 Westbound.

According to reports from the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the scene of a crash involving three vehicles which left one person injured. To add to the unusual circumstances surrounding this accident, it was discovered that numerous dead pigs were scattered across the bridge behind where the crash had taken place.

It has been confirmed by officials that the truck hauling these pigs was not involved in the collision and continued its journey westbound without any issues. However, authorities are still uncertain as to whether or not these loose animals played a role in causing or exacerbating the crash.

As a result of this incident, traffic was diverted onto LA 1 while emergency services worked diligently to clear up debris and ensure public safety. Thankfully, no further injuries were reported during this process.
