4-year-old boy killed in car crash on U.S. 19 in Manatee County

The boy died at the scene, the driver was taken to a hospital with critical injuries, and two other passengers suffered minor injuries.
A 4-year-old boy lost his life in an accident that occurred on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place on U.S. 19 in north Manatee County, Florida.
As per the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened when a 39-year-old Bradenton man was driving southbound on U.S. 19. As he attempted to negotiate a left curve near Bayshore Drive at around 5 p.m, he lost control of the car which resulted in the ejection of the young boy from the vehicle.
The child was not wearing any seatbelt or placed in a car seat during this time and died instantly due to severe injuries sustained from being thrown out of the car.
The driver suffered critical injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment while two other passengers - a 16-year-old girl and a 25-year-old woman - sustained minor injuries as well.
At present, authorities are still investigating what caused this tragic accident that led to such devastating consequences for all involved parties.
