49-Year-Old Deltona Woman Killed in Fatal Crash

A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning in Volusia County, Florida, resulting in the death of a 49-year-old Deltona woman. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident took place around 6 a.m. on State Road 44 at Ranchette Road near Samsula-Spruce Creek.
The FHP reported that the woman was operating a 2016 Suzuki moped heading east on S.R. 44 when another vehicle, potentially a white pickup truck, made a right turn from Ranchette Road. This sudden maneuver caused her to lose control of her moped.
As a result of losing control, she was ejected from her vehicle and subsequently struck by two other vehicles: a 2014 Honda CRV and a 2018 Nissan Titan. Tragically, she did not survive the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.
Fortunately, both drivers involved in striking the woman were unharmed and remained present until law enforcement arrived.
