59-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck by Pick-Up Truck in Laredo

A 59-year-old woman tragically lost her life on Monday morning after being struck by a pick-up truck in south Laredo, Texas. The incident occurred at approximately 8 a.m. near the intersection of Los Presidentes Avenue and Dorado Drive.
According to authorities, it is believed that the woman may have been jogging or exercising when she was allegedly hit by the pick-up truck. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident.
The victim has been identified as Ana Laura Garza, a dedicated librarian who had spent 35 years of her life working for LISD (Laredo Independent School District).
Investigators are currently working to gather any available surveillance footage that may shed light on how the accident occurred. The driver involved remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with law enforcement during their investigation.
