6-Vehicle Pile-Up on Interstate 220 in Ridgeland

Debris cleared, scene has since cleared
A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Friday morning in Ridgeland, Mississippi, resulting in two individuals being hospitalized. According to the Ridgeland Police department, the incident took place on Interstate 220 when several bales of hay fell off a truck, leading to a significant traffic backup. The location of the accident was north of Highland Colony Parkway and it happened around 9 a.m.
In response to the situation, authorities temporarily closed all lanes of traffic to allow crews to clear the debris from the road. Fortunately, as per recent reports, the scene has been cleared and normal traffic flow has resumed.
