Officials are warning drivers to expect traffic delays after an accident occurred at the intersection of Mount Vernon Road and 29th Ave on Friday afternoon. The incident resulted in Mt. Vernon Road being closed between Memorial and 25th due to a powerline that fell onto a car.
According to reports, Alliant Energy is currently responding to the scene, but no further details have been released at this time.
