According to state troopers, a 49-year-old man from Alabama passed away on Friday following a collision between his motorcycle and a pickup truck in Blount County. The victim was identified as Nickey S. Borden of Horton.
Reports indicate that the accident occurred when Borden's 2011 Harley Davidson collided with the rear of a 1996 Ford F-250 pickup along Blount County 57, which is located seven miles north of Oneonta. The incident took place at approximately 5:24 p.m., but no further details have been released regarding the cause or circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division has launched an investigation into the incident. No additional information has been provided at this time.
