Minnesota State Patrol Confirms Alcohol Involved in Fatal Crash
The Minnesota State Patrol has confirmed that alcohol was involved in a crash that resulted in the death of a St. Paul man early Saturday morning. The accident occurred along Hwy. 280 near the interchange with Larpenteur Ave. in Ramsey County.
According to state crash reports, the incident happened shortly after 1:40 a.m., when a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 traveling north on the freeway at high speed struck a concrete barrier before careening into the right-hand ditch and returning to the roadway.
The driver, identified as Edward Jack Larson, aged 56, was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle during impact. He sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
Authorities have since confirmed that alcohol played a role in this tragic incident. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to determine further details surrounding this case.
