Memphis University School football player Dion Stutts passed away on Tuesday in an ATV accident near his home in Batesville, Mississippi. The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive tackle had committed to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks and was set to take his official visit later this month.

Stutts announced his decision to commit to Arkansas on March 11th after receiving offers from several other schools including South Carolina, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Louisville. MUS director of athletics and head coach Bobby Alston expressed his condolences saying "Our hearts are broken for the family. Dion was such a great young man. He had a smile that warmed your heart when you had a chance to be around him."

As a junior at Memphis University School, Stutts recorded 30 tackles with 13 of them being for loss. His commitment was seen as a big win for the Razorbacks' recruiting efforts.

The university has not yet released an official statement regarding Stutt's passing but many fans have taken to social media expressing their sadness over the news.
