Armored truck hits vehicle, injures 66-year-old man near Jackson Crossing

The 66-year-old man was injured and taken to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital.
A 66-year-old man was injured and sent to the hospital after his vehicle was hit by an armored truck in Jackson County, Michigan. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at around 4:31 p.m. near the Jackson Crossing shopping mall.
According to police reports, the victim's car was heading east on Boardman Road when it collided with an armored truck that was attempting to turn into the driveway of Jackson Crossing. The victim had to be extricated from his vehicle as he was pinned inside.
The Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety responded promptly and took him by ambulance to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital for treatment. Although conscious and alert when speaking with police, the full extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
Fortunately, neither the driver nor a male passenger in the rear of the armored truck were injured during this accident. However, authorities found that the driver of GardaWorld's Canada-based private security firm failed to yield and caused this crash.
