Bicyclist Daniel Reason Dies in Collision with Semi-Truck in Fresno

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office has identified the bicyclist who tragically lost his life after colliding with a semi-truck in southeast Fresno. The victim has been named as 35-year-old Daniel Reason of Fresno.
The incident occurred on Monday at around 12:30 pm at the intersection of Cedar and Kaviland Avenues. According to the California Highway Patrol, Reason was riding a mountain bike when he unexpectedly veered off the sidewalk and entered the path of trailers attached to a large truck. He collided with the rear axles of the vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.
Following protocol, officers promptly informed school staff so that parents could be notified about alternative pick-up locations for their children. Fortunately, no students were present near the scene of the accident at that time.
