Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Truck Crash

A man was seriously injured after being hit by a truck while riding his bicycle in Lowell, Massachusetts on Monday. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Adams streets, according to officials from the Lowell police department. The identity of the bicyclist has not been disclosed.
Following the collision, emergency services promptly transported the injured individual to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were subsequently airlifted via air ambulance to a hospital in Boston for further treatment.
The driver of the semi-truck involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators from law enforcement agencies. Authorities have stated that an investigation is currently underway to determine what led to this unfortunate incident.
