The California Highway Patrol spokesperson confirmed that at 10:51 p.m., near the intersection of 42nd Street West and Avenue L, officers responded to reports of a collision involving a bicyclist.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the injured cyclist lying on the ground with severe injuries. They immediately initiated life-saving measures before transporting them to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, medical professionals pronounced the unidentified individual dead.
