Traffic delays
A big rig crash on westbound Interstate 80 in Yolo County is causing significant traffic delays this morning. The accident occurred at around 5 a.m. on the Yolo Causeway, just before the Chiles Road exit.
According to reports, a semi-truck carrying food products overturned after hitting a trench on the right-hand shoulder of the road. Fortunately, the driver of the truck was unharmed in the incident.
Work crews were able to upright the truck by 7 a.m., but traffic congestion is still expected due to lane reductions caused by the crash. Caltrans has not provided an estimated time for when all lanes will be reopened.
