Boston man dies in apparent suicide on Massachusetts Turnpike

Massachusetts State Police have revealed the cause of a deadly pedestrian crash that occurred on Tuesday morning on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Framingham. The incident involved a tractor-trailer and took place at around 10:50 am near Exit 111 and the Route 9 interchange.
According to state police, emergency services personnel responded to the scene where they found a Boston man who had been hit by a Freightliner tractor-trailer. The victim was outside his vehicle, which was stopped in the breakdown line when he suddenly ran towards the truck and was struck.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as a 65-year-old man from Harford, Connecticut, pulled over after hitting the pedestrian and called 911 for assistance. Authorities have tentatively identified the victim as being from Boston.
Following an investigation into this tragic event, authorities believe that it was an apparent suicide. As such no further information will be released about this case.
