Two Boys Steal Hyundai, Crash into Another Driver in Southwest Philadelphia

In a shocking incident on Sunday night, two underage boys who are years away from legally driving stole a Hyundai and crashed into another driver in Southwest Philadelphia. The crash occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of 54th Street and Kingsessing Avenue.
According to authorities, the stolen Hyundai collided with a Ford sedan, causing the Ford to veer onto the sidewalk and crash into the front of a home. One of the boys involved, aged 12, was apprehended at the scene while his accomplice, aged 10, fled from the crash site. Police have not yet determined which child was behind the wheel during this reckless act.
The Hyundai had been reported as stolen prior to this incident. Upon investigation by law enforcement officials, it was discovered that there had been tampering with its steering column. This evidence further supports their conclusion that these young boys were responsible for stealing and operating the vehicle without authorization.
Fortunately, only one person sustained injuries as a result of this dangerous escapade. The woman driving the second vehicle involved in the collision was taken to a nearby hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition. Thankfully, no occupants inside the house were harmed during this harrowing event.
