Car Wash Worker Struck in Cos Cob Car Accident

A car wash worker was seriously injured in a car accident that occurred on Monday morning in Cos Cob, Greenwich. The incident resulted in the closure of the Post Road in both directions.
According to Lieutenant Patrick Smyth, the collision took place at Splash Car Wash located at 73 Post Road around 10:20 a.m. The car wash worker was struck by a vehicle and subsequently transported to Stamford Hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the car that was hit sustained minor injuries and was taken to Greenwich Hospital for treatment.
As of now, there has been no response from Splash Car Wash regarding the incident. Lt. Smyth stated that he had no further information about the employee's condition when asked about their medical status on Monday afternoon.
The police have not released any immediate details regarding charges related to this accident. An investigation is currently underway to determine what led to this unfortunate incident.
During the closure of the road, cars were detoured away from the accident site. However, as per reports, by 1:30 p.m., authorities reopened the Post Road for normal traffic flow.
