Car Chase Ends in Crash, Three Injured in Newton County

A car chase in Newton County, Georgia came to a dramatic end when the suspect's vehicle crashed, resulting in three people being sent to the hospital. The incident took place near Highway 81 and involved the assistance of Georgia State Patrol.
According to reports, EMS officials confirmed that two individuals were airlifted by life flight while another person was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital. The severity of their injuries is currently unknown.
The Newton County Sheriff's Office revealed that the pursuit began after a stolen vehicle collided with one of its Flock systems on Tuesday afternoon. A deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop but was unsuccessful as the suspect fled from the scene.
The chase reportedly started at Crowell Road and continued into Porterdale before reaching an intersection where the suspect ran a red light. This resulted in a collision with two other vehicles and caused injuries to three individuals who were inside those cars at the time.
Tragically, all three victims are currently listed as being in critical condition. However, their identities have not been released at this time. The investigation into this incident is being handled by Georgia State Patrol.
