One Person Injured in Rye, NH Car Crash

One person transported to hospital due to injuries
A section of Wallis Sands State Park beach in Rye, New Hampshire has been closed following a car crash early Sunday morning. According to the Rye police department, they received reports of a vehicle on fire at around 5:30 am and dispatched authorities to the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities found a 2023 Ford F-150 that had crashed and was lying approximately 100 feet below the roadway on the sand. One person involved in the accident sustained injuries and was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment.
Police say that speed appears to be a factor based on witness accounts. As a result of possible debris from the crash, staff at Wallis Sands State Park have closed off a section of the beach. Visitors are advised to check with lifeguard staff for safe swimming locations.
