A car crash on Mass. Route 128 in Beverly resulted in a vehicle catching fire early Thursday morning, according to police reports. The accident sent one person to the hospital; however, their current condition remains unknown.
Flames erupted from the car that ultimately came to rest with its rear fender perched atop of the highway's railing. The incident was reported at approximately 8:00 am.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by local authorities. No further details have been released at this time.
