Route 302 in Naples has been reopened following a car crash that occurred on Monday evening. According to dispatchers, a car was left suspended off the ground, supported by power lines. The section of Route 302 between Harrison Road and Casco Road became accessible again shortly before 5:00 am on Tuesday.
The incident took place around 8:30 pm near Lake's Plaza. Remarkably, both the driver, a Waterford man, and his dog managed to walk away from the crash unharmed. However, authorities stated on Tuesday morning that driver inattention or distraction likely played a role in the accident.
In addition to causing significant damage, the crash resulted in a power outage lasting several hours in the surrounding area.
