Car Crash on Steptoe Street in Kennewick: Occupant from the Honda Civic Injured

Both occupants of the Honda Civic were transported to a local hospital for injuries. The driver of the Dodge was not injured.
According to a press release from the Kennewick Police Department, Steptoe Street in Washington is now open following a car crash. The incident took place near the entrance of Santiago Estates at 2105 Steptoe Street.
The crash involved two vehicles, a Honda Civic and a Dodge Journey. The Honda Civic was traveling northbound on Steptoe Street and was preparing to make a left-hand turn into the trailer park at 2105 Steptoe Street. In an attempt to avoid colliding with the turning Honda Civic, the Dodge Journey crashed near the entrance of the trailer park.
The collision resulted in severe front-end damage to the Honda Civic, and both occupants were transported to a local hospital for their injuries. One occupant from the Honda Civic is reportedly in serious condition with life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, no injuries were reported for the driver of the Dodge Journey.
Kennewick Police Department stated that there is no indication that drugs or alcohol played a role in causing this accident. However, they are still investigating further details surrounding this incident.
Southbound Steptoe Street had been closed due to this crash near Canyon Place. Officers urged people to avoid this area if possible as serious injuries occurred during this incident.
