Car Crashes on US 12 near Touchet

Driver left the scene
On Monday afternoon, a single car crashed on US 12 near Touchet, Washington. The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. at milepost 318, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Sarah Clasen. A witness reported that the male driver of a Ford Ranger had fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the car to veer off the road and roll to a stop.
Before troopers arrived at the scene of the crash, however, the driver had already left in another vehicle. Clasen stated that it is unknown whether or not the driver was under the influence of any substances. Washington State Patrol is currently searching for the driver involved in this incident.
No further information about injuries or damages resulting from this crash has been provided at this time.
