Car Crashes Into Home in Hanover, Massachusetts

A driver in Hanover, Massachusetts is facing multiple charges after crashing into a home early Thursday morning. The incident occurred on Circuit Street when the car allegedly slammed into the side of the house, ultimately landing in the dining room.

The homeowner immediately called 911 at around 3 a.m., reporting that their house had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, the Hanover Police Department discovered that the car had veered off the road, traversed through the yard, and crashed directly into the residence, creating a substantial hole where the vehicle had penetrated through the side of the house.

This marks the second time that this home has been hit by a car within three years.

Authorities provided first aid to the 22-year-old driver at the scene. However, police officers detected an odor of alcohol emanating from him during their investigation. Consequently, he was transported to a hospital for further evaluation and subsequently placed under arrest.

The driver now faces three charges: operating under influence (OUI) of liquor, operating to endanger others' safety, and violating marked lanes regulations. Following his release from medical care today, he is expected to appear in court later for arraignment.
